As a child growing up on S. Franklin Street during World War II, Corinne Gerson spent many afternoons with a good book in the Allentown Public Library.
Now Gerson, nee Schreibstein, writes books for young teens who love a good story.
Gerson, now of Mt.
Vernon, N.Y., recently published her 10th novel, “My Grandfather the Spy” (Walker and Company, $14.95, 121 pp.). In a recent telephone interview, Gerson talked about the new book and her career as an author.
“‘My Grandfather the Spy,'” says Gerson, who graduated from the Allen High School and Moravian College, tells the story of Danny, a 12-year-old boy who meets an elderly man on a bus ride to Vermont and must do detective work to solve the mystery surrounding the man.
Gerson says “My Grandfather the Spy” is the third book dealing with the character Danny.
